In the Northaven Park neighborhood, brush and bulky items are picked up from the curb during the week that includes the fourth Monday of the month. The actual day of the week when the pickup occurs varies due to the volume of trash to be collected and equipment availability.
- Do not put out items earlier than 7:00 a.m. on Thursday prior to the collection week. Items must be placed at the curb by 7:00 a.m. the Monday of the pickup week. See a custom calendar or download the app.
- Do not put out more than 10 cubic yards of brush and bulky trash – the equivalent of 10 household ovens. You will be billed for amounts over the limit. Once a year, an exception of 20 cubic yards is allowed, but you must call 311 a week before the pickup to claim the exception. Learn more at CurbsideManners.com.
- Put materials on the curb in front of your home. If your home is on a corner lot, you may place items on the side yard where the trucks have access. Do not place items on vacant lots, medians or Oncor utility property. Do not place items in front of utility poles, traffic signs, utility meters or hydrants.
- Do not mix brush and other vegetation items with household bulky items. Place them in separate piles.
- Do not allow brush or bulky items to block the sidewalk or protrude into the street.
Fines in excess of $400 can be assessed for placing bulk trash in the wrong area or at the wrong time. There are no warning citations. If you have specific questions about your property and bulk trash placement, please contact City of Dallas Sanitation Services, 214.670.5111.
